A major broadcaster in South Africa embarked on a mission to provide high availability, disaster recovery, and security to its existing customer base. The disaster recovery site deploys the latest technology in specialized back-up power supply equipment, configured via two active (A and B) power streams to all equipment.  

The site also displays a “state of the art” electronic security solution and complete remote monitoring of the entire site. This enables the Client to conduct complete maintenance on existing systems as well as having a 100% redundancy during a catastrophic failure at either of the sites. The disaster recovery site deploys the latest technology in specialized back-up power supply equipment configured via two active (A and B) power streams to all equipment. OneZero Consulting also proposed the latest in-row cooling technologies and hot aisle containment to high density racks within the data centre. This has a major effect on the efficiency of the data centre and reduces the PUE significantly. A complete management solution monitors all the equipment racks for power consumption, humidity and temperature, thus providing the infrastructure manager with all relevant information at any time and this information can be accessed remotely as well. The site also displays a “state of the art” electronic security solution and complete remote monitoring of the entire site.
