Key Design Elements: Live Upgrades, Medium Voltage Switchgear, Dry Type Transformers

In 2016, Standard Bank appointed OneZero Consulting to plan and execute the following live upgrades at its No.5 Simmonds building in Johannesburg:

• Replace all the medium voltage switchgear and transformers feeding the office and data centre reticulation
• Downsize the data centre to accommodate more office space

This was implemented successfully with no business impact to the 100,000m2 office and data centre space.
