Key Design Elements: 2N Generator and UPS, Vesda system

Live upgrade of Data Centre Electrical infrastructure for a financial institute without any shutdowns or any outage. Supports 1800 m2 data centre space and 10 000 m2 of office space. 4950 kVA Generators and 2000 kVA UPS machines installed in a 2N configuration with new MV switchgear on a ring supply. Dual emergency power feeds to mechanical equipment was provided and a hot isle containment of the new Virtualised server environment. This design eliminated single point of failures from the electrical and mechanical infrastructure. The security system was also designed with fire detection system and an early warning system (Vesda system)
